First:
So as I last posted....I got into a little accident. No biggie...on the couch for a week. Stiff sore and blech. Lots of meds. Valium, Vicodin, and Motrin. I was in a state that is for sure. I got a letter from my insurance company and she seems to be uninsured. Fecking excellent!!! Oh...no running, soccer, or exercise at all for the week. End topic.
Next:
So...after the accident (I waited a week BTW) I started off with a soccer game. I'm also now plying two days a week in addition to running and going to the gym even more rarely for weights and cross training. So, the first run back I took the pooch and ran an easy three. I also deemed my Nike+ to be almost a 1/2 mile off. Mostly, it's .3 miles off. I really need to calibrate that thing. I also need to just invest in a Garmin, but am having trouble figuring out what I really meed vs. what I actually want. My lungs felt good and I felt decent. My body was a little stiff and the doggy wanted to chase everything that moved. Leaves, cats, and birds included. Often times on the trail by the house I let her off leash and she does really well. Well, I guess that because it had been over a week since I ran her, she went a little buck wild and decided to chase a bird into the creek. That was fun!!! I've done a few more decent runs, an accidental long run when I ran to the wrong place for the girl's hoop practice. I've also played my fair share of soccer too. I am a little concerned about my right foot. The top has been hurting and I don't know what the deal was/is. I'm thinking it's the lack of support in my cleats. I think I need to get some inserts....
Last:
I've had some personal issues that I think I'll save for another post.....I just don't feel like reliving it.

Where the heck have I been...
In a car accident, that's where I've been. I'll go in to more detail later, but I at least wanted to document that I have been laying on my rear on Vicodin, Vallium, and Mortin. Seriously, that combo makes you sleep.
Running.....
Well, not much of that has been going on lately either. I've run three times since last Saturday. A six and two threes. Considering I've been literally high on whiplash meds since the 15th...that's not horrible.
More to come really...once I can form a complete sentence and use the correct punctuation marks on a post. Just look at this mess for and example.

OH M Goodness
The critter was looking mighty pitiful as I was leaving tonight (from home) for my run. I honestly had every intention of running my 6 mile tonight, but when I saw the pitiful look in my little pooch's face....
How do you say no to this?
Well, since I obviously said yes to Daisy coming, I couldn't go longer than 3ish. So 3 is what I did. My Nike+ said that I beat my fastest mile. I don't believe it , but whatever. I'm looking into a Garmin. Have heard lots of positive things and it offers more features than the Nike+. Don't get me wrong, I love my Nike+, but as I have "grown" in my running....I need something a little more advanced. Here's my graph from my run. Not too shabby for struggling lately, so I'm cool with it.
BTW: Have no idea why it is all funky in the beginning...whatev...

I'm totally becoming an expert at this!!
Time number two and I totally navigated my way to a new post seamlessly...
I'm such a quick study, I know.
Anyhoo....
I'm debating how much to run today. I've been soooo tired lately and have been really struggling to get my arse outside to run. I'm only averaging three days a week and I'd really rather be doing four. Two short runs, a medium, and one long. Instead I'm doing two mediums and one long, if not all medium runs. To add to this, normally I'd be in full soccer mode one/two days a week but it WON'T STOP RAINING. It's going to rain again this Sunday so this means no game. So my times are sucking. I'm averaging above 9:00 per mile. Usually I can do mid 8's if not high 7's. I also haven't been able to kick the 5ish pounds from the holidays. Most people don't notice it, but when you are petite and pack on a fiver... well let's just say it's really hard to button your $200 jeans.
So, back to my dilemma....I have to pick up the kiddos today. This means I do a long run around the work area and try to get the kids before 6. This is probably what I should do, but I really like running around the house. I can't stand the thought of people I work with seeing my sweating, struggling, breathing hard self. It's embarrassing because if someone does see me then I tend to get called out in front of everyone and I'm shy like that (well when it comes to co-workers I am). OR... I can try to fit 6 in after I get the kids cause there is a 6 mile loop near the house that I love.
I guess we'll see how the day progresses before I decide what to.
Now...to recap my last run. It was around work, two major hills, and the wind was awful. That said though, it really wasn't as awful as I thought considering. Here's the pic from my Nike+ graph.

Deflowering My Blogging Virginity
Well, this is it!! I'm officially no longer a blogging virgin. I have a few things to learn about this whole blogging thing....lots actually. First of all, I have no clue whether or not I am going to share this with anyone. I feel like it's going to be more like a journal. I'm not sure if I want to open it up for the world to see or not. I also don't think that I want to offend anyone if I talk about them. Maybe changing names and such if I choose to write about someone might be smart. Like currently I'm listening to someone talking very loudly in my office. Let's call him P. P needs to lower his voice, he's much too loud to be talking so boisterously in such a confined space. P needs to learn to use his inside voice.
Anyway....I digress.
So I figure I'll learn as I go and we'll see what happens with this whole thing. So bear with me while I navigate, figure out, vent, virtually cry, and share my life. That is if anyone actually reads this.
Until then....
